When the board is already loose, put a glue and paper tape onto the crack. It's very very stuck but the eraser is loose (I think for the time being until I can close it again). I shined a light into it and a previous commenter was right in that the problem is it being completely out of its groove. Like on opposite ends (augh!)

I tried the perpendicular squeeze to no avail. It's hard to get something unstuck when it's hard plastic and a fragile circuit board. Should I give up? Has anyone solved this problem? I know it's not broken it's stuck so I don't wanna waste big bucks just because it won't close an inch. Will someone at Best Buy have magic fingers and fix it? Is there electronic butter/lube to make the board slippery and give

HELP! please ...slothchildnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-31943755789478213902018-08-04T08:45:49.926-07:002018-08-04T08:45:49.926-07:00Came here looking for where the heck the spring ca...Came here looking for where the heck the spring came from. I, too ran into the "won't push together all the way." Had I read further along, I would have encountered solutions to that issue as well. I managed to get my circuit board firmly jammed into the pen. You can't just grab a circuit board and pull. I also wouldn't recommend trying to flex the barrel.

I found something (the end of a ballpoint pen with the ink removed) that was smaller than the eraser opening on the tablet pen. The piece I used would sit upright on a table. I gently pushed the eraser end down over the bp pen tip until it pushed the board free. Then I inspected the barrel for indicators of proper assembly.

There are two flat impressions on the joint of the barrel that line up (at least one does). If you look down the top barrel section you can see the grooves to confirm the direction.

All of this was when I started out trying to solve the "sticky upper grip" problem. This is a common complaint elsewhere. (use rubbing alcohol on a paper towel to remove the gunk).

However, in the cleaning I twisted the pen and everything just started falling apart.

Still haven't found the "larger" spring. Oh, well.JennyBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06745210532263183894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-21625854542696219952018-07-16T01:56:41.315-07:002018-07-16T01:56:41.315-07:00Amzing post dear …………keep posting!

I took the pen out of my Wacom case, and the elastic that holds the pen is too snug, so I have to be careful to only slide it in and out from the top side of the pen. Even then, it's a bit of a struggle. (Poor design in my opinion. It would still be effective with just a tad less tension.) When I reached behind me to get it, I accidently grabbed the wrong end, and it slid right apart like it was made to! Of course it happened when I have a tight deadline, and up late working. I thought I was going to have to send it to them to fix, but your instructions were easy to understand, and it went together perfectly! Thankfully, the table surface that the springs fell onto is made of reclaimed boat wood, and has enough texture that it kept the springs from bouncing or rolling off, and they were both a few inches apart from each other! Whew!! Happily back to work, thanks to you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01395011151690930977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-22029484595685081702017-06-29T02:12:08.433-07:002017-06-29T02:12:08.433-07:00ok i didn read all but you are not supposed to for...ok i didn read all but you are not supposed to force the motherboard in,just play with it turn it slight it,there are flat surface inside the pen where you lide the bord in just have to find them by adjusting, i was pushing very hard and almost break the casing, then i looked inside it with light and found the slight flat surface inside then it goes in like a charm,easytargethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08969744827009458279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-34573751898191356262017-06-09T02:02:29.430-07:002017-06-09T02:02:29.430-07:00Still good advice four years later- I fixed mine n...Still good advice four years later- I fixed mine now. If you feel resistance, it is probably because the edges of #6 got forced out of the grooves and are now forced against the inner wall of Piece #4. To counter this, squeeze the outside of #4 inward perpendicular to the edges of #6 so the circular opening of the cylindrical #4 becomes slightly oval (just enough to lessen the pressure of where the edges of #6 are wedged). Then pull #6 out and realign to the inner grooves of #4 before attempting to reinsert.

To Maria S:
My best guess is that the small spring goes in the middle of the larger larger.

Hope this helps!

29 May 2014 at 16:27"Aniknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-13246873401126839452017-03-26T21:10:01.037-07:002017-03-26T21:10:01.037-07:00This helped greatly, thank you! This helped greatly, thank you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338982147617806351.post-41430991001948210882017-02-07T11:30:55.966-08:002017-02-07T11:30:55.966-08:00so my 11 yr old decided that it was time to check ...so my 11 yr old decided that it was time to check whats inside the pen. Simply pulled the board and springs out, looked at them and slid it all back together, but the barrels went back together much tighter and instantly stopped the play in the tip.
